Hello September!

HAPPY SEPTEMBER!

Fall is in the air! I have always loved this time of year, back to school. Routines. Warm cozy dinners. Pumpkin Patches, Halloween. Rain (in Seattle anyway)

To kick off this season of serving, I am starting by gifting!

This month is going to be so fun and packed full!

Be sure that we are connected on Social Media, since that is where it's all going down!

And of course, it wouldn't be my newsletter without an update on our travels.

We spent most of August in Portland, OR and then Northern California. Portland is a city we hold near and dear, it is just slightly quirkier and has a better food scene (in our opinion) than Seattle does.

However, it was great to get out of the PNW. We started our Cali journey in Chico, where Nave' spent her late teen/early 20's. It was good to spend some time seeing a place so special to her and hanging out with (new to me, old to her) friends.

We then headed to San Francisco for a long weekend. We visited the Castro District, enjoyed some time in parks, hit Chinatown and the Pier. It was beautiful and we definitely plan on going back to spend more time in the future.

We are currently in Pismo Beach, CA where it is a nice blend of cool, foggy mornings and blazing hot afternoons. The beach is less than 5 miles and we have enjoyed walking it and taking the dogs.

Here are some take-aways from this type of travel: It is always work. If we aren't on the site, scouring for a new sit that lines up with the right dates and location, we are in communication with potential sits. When we land a sit, we are taking care of animals, gardens, other peoples homes.

It is fun to visit many places but we have learned how we want to travel and to take only sits that fit into the criteria we have set.

However, it saves on hotel and AirBnB costs, and we get to meet some really cool people along the way. (Not to mention falling in love with so many animals!)

If you are curious about this at all, reply to this and I am happy to share!

I hope to see you on all of my social platforms this month and I wish you all the best of luck in winning one of the gifts!

Reader Can you believe that it is almost Summer????? Me either! I am reminded of when the kids were home and summer was my most favorite time of the year! The days heading to the beach or the pool.
